🍯 The Valley in Every Jar
In Laciana, bees and people have lived alongside one another for generations.
Traditional truébanos—beehives made from hollow tree trunks—form part of the valley’s rural heritage. They remind us of a time when bees were valued not only for their honey, but also for the abundance and continuity they brought to the community.
That relationship continues today.
As the bees move between heathers, mountain flowers, forests and wild fruits, their pollination connects the different parts of the valley’s living landscape.
Every harvest reflects that relationship. Some seasons bring forest honey. In exceptional years, the bees lead us to the late-flowering Calluna. Each jar preserves the character of one particular season in the Laciana UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
